The data cloud

Snowflake’s platform enables a wide variety of workloads and applications on any cloud, including data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines, and data sharing as well as business intelligence, data science, and data analytics applications.

The Data Cloud consists of two parts: platform and data. Snowflake’s platform is the engine that powers the Data Cloud. The data made available in the Data Cloud comes from customers and other data providers that store, access, and ultimately decide to share data via their platform.

Data warehousing

Snowflake’s support for data warehousing and analytics provides a low-maintenance, cost-effective way for organizations to consolidate all their data silos into a single source of truth they can query to get results fast. By providing consistently fast queries, more users analyze more data and collaborate with their peers.

Snowflake integration

VaultSpeed picks up metadata from any source and builds the integrated data model your business users need to create value from data. It seamlessly connects with Snowflake, and sends instructions to build the Snowflake ETL procedures and create a Data Vault model that suits your needs.

The Data Vault model is delivered to Snowflake in the form of DDL statements, automatically deployed into your Snowflake data cloud.

ETL can be delivered in multiple flavors. You could use an ETL tool such as Matillion, DBT or Talend. But you could also deliver the ETL in the form of Snowflake procedures.

To land the data in Snowflake we integrate with most CDC tools, such as Matillion ETL or HVR. For file structures or streaming topics, you can also use Snowflake's Snowpipes.
